Curriculum Vitae

Summary

I’m a non-profit theatre worker, communications specialist, and a former co-owner of a worker-owned natural foods cooperative. I’ve developed a full suite of administrative and operational skills in HR, payroll, OSHA compliance, scheduling, budgeting, meeting and event coordination, internal and external communications, department and inventory management, and creation/implementation of policies and procedures. As a publicist, marketing manager, and event producer I’ve developed skills in media and community outreach, digital asset management, social media, ticketing, event management, and more. As a freelance journalist and theatre professional, I’ve supported, recognized, and documented the creative works of hundreds of artists for over twenty years. In 2018, I obtained a certificate in Visual Media design at City College. In 2021 I received a BA with honors in Theatre Arts and in 2022 graduated with an MA—with a focus on Dramaturgy—from San Francisco State University.

Skills and Interests

As a freelancer, business owner, theatre-maker, and marketing professional, I’m efficient, detail-and-systems-oriented, and able to self-direct and prioritize. Administratively, I’ve created web, newsletter, and promotional content and collateral, managed social media accounts, spearheaded community and media outreach, and managed business operations, payroll, safety, compliance, and logistics. I’m proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Outlook, WordPress, Drupal, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Dropbox, Canva, Canvas, Moodle, Slack, HTML, CSS, Adobe Suite, database/CMS systems such as Filemaker Pro, Sabre, Autostar, and Anthology, and multiple social media platforms. I’ve lived, worked, and traveled in over thirty countries on five continents, and concurrently learned to mangle a conversation in four languages. I’m an avid city cyclist, amateur historian, and occasional urban forager, and am trained in street fighting/self-defense as well as in conflict resolution mediation, thereby covering all the bases.
